Case Studies in:
 Compound Milling Containment
Multiple Mill Containment Solutions

 September 20, 2013Webinar
12:00 - 1:30 PM EDT

Attendees will learn how to identify and implement high containment on various mill types utilized in the pharmaceutical and food industry.  Integration of the ancillary components, such as feeders, particle sizers, and collection containers/drums.

The Webinar will demonstrate how to define the process tasks and relate them to implementing high containment solutions. Addressing the following.
  • Different mill types and containment solutions.
  • Integration of ancillary equipment required for controlled feed rates, analysis etc.
  • Sampling requirements.
  • Control.
  • Dust sock collection methodology's.
  • Cross contamination and clean down.
  • Contained off loading.

A case study will be presented on a system which utilizes different types of mills, sampling, controlled environment and addresses cross contamination issues when dealing with multiple products.

Mills included were a Fitz, Comil, Pancake Micronizers, and a Jet Mill. These were contained achieving a 45 nanogram OEL over the sampling period.
